Responsibilities

In addition, you will:

  • Manage all aspects of engineering production including forecasting, scheduling, status reporting, resources management, and quality assurance
  • Develop, maintain, and provide extensive job progress reporting through continued monitoring of job status
  • Update leadership with new projects, schedule issues, and client concerns
  • Work in tandem with various managers across the project to develop, define, and implement processes and employee responsibilities
  • Review project deliverables for accuracy and apprise leadership of risks, issues, and recommended mitigations
  • Manage project budgets, employee timesheets, and complete routine client billing
  • Coordinate with the engineering team, and client to manage workload and maintain effective working relationships

Qualifications

About You:

  • OSP Fiber engineering experience with a solid knowledge of aerial and underground telecommunications, outside and inside plant, and all phases of the permitting process
  • You have experience tracking projects and managing a team
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with proven problem-solving ability, self-motivation, leadership, and team building capabilities with the ability to negotiate and motivate others
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels: from team members to executive management
  • Experience in implementing quality assurance practices such as SOPs to ensure that quality is maintained and a consistent product is delivered
  • Experience using engineering tools including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and similar GIS/KMZ platforms preferred
  • You have an understanding/ability to learn different city, county, DOT, and state permitting rules and guidelines
  • Experience working with pole owners on pole permitting application required.
  • Experience working with DTE is preferred.
  • You have at least 1-3 years of progressively challenging permitting and 1-3 years of professional experience working with ROW and Pole Permits for telecommunications
