Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing project strategies that will exceed client project expectations as you manage day-to-day project-level schedules, financials, and overall execution progress. You will work directly with customers and have project P&L responsibility to include, but not limited to, establishing project budgets, cost and revenue forecasts, variance analysis, AP/AR management, and cash flow management.

In addition, you will:

• Train and develop MasTec Project Managers
• Plan and monitor projects by developing a detailed plan, identifying objectives, key stages, resources, and timelines
• Manage resources by allocating and optimizing human, financial, and material resources for the project
• Identify, evaluate, and proactively manage all risks associated with the project
• Manage and lead internal and external project teams to ensure on-budget and on-schedule delivery
• Report and communicate to the external customer(s) and internal management each day
• Build processes and teams required to deliver all project requirements
• Coordinate with the Project Engineering and Construction teams for schedule planning, execution, and closeout of projects
• Lead weekly/monthly meetings with the client and project team
• Ensure project completion and invoicing processes as required while achieving organizational cash flow expectations
• Perform other duties as required, and/or assigned to meet Client and organizational goals

Qualifications

About You:

• You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
• You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
• You are looking for long-term projects
• You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team
• You have a High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Have 5 years of project management experience in the following knowledge areas: Integration Management, Scope Management, Schedule Management, Cost Management, Quality Management, Resource Management, Communications Management, Risk Management, Procurement Management, Stakeholder Management
• Have advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• You have intermediate experience in schedule management
• You can work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks
• Have good verbal and written communication skills
• Have precise hand-eye coordination
• You have clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships
• You have the ability to identify and distinguish colors
• You have the ability to read blueprints accurately
• You have the ability to communicate progress, highlight issues, and provide recommendations to senior leadership
• Have safety training and knowledge of OSHA requirements
• You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field of study
• You have 10 or more years of construction project experience
• You have 3 or more years of supervisory experience
• You have a professional Engineer (P.E.) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• You are proficient at reading project engineering designs and construction documents accurately
• You have a fundamental knowledge of Primavera P6
• You have an OSHA 10 Certification
• Knowledgeable in OSP fiber optic network engineering and construction best practices, including knowledge of ESRI/GIS systems and processes, is preferred but not required
