Responsibilities
As a Aerial Groundman you’ll support all phases of telecom utility construction. You’re hands-on, dependable, and ready to learn. This role offers on-the-job training with the opportunity to advance into an Aerial Lineman position!
In addition, you will:
Perform manual tasks such as trenching, unloading materials, and preparing job sites using hand tools (shovels, rakes, picks, etc.)
Work outdoors on active utility construction sites
Transport and stage heavy equipment and materials to and from job sites
Assist in building and maintaining aerial and underground cable systems
Help troubleshoot issues that arise in the field
Train and develop skills in the use of specialized tools and equipment
Qualifications
About You:
- Safety-focused and committed to quality work
- Hands-on problem solver who works well with a team
- 1–2 years of outdoor work experience, preferably in construction, utility, or telecom
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record past 3 years (CDL preferred)
Able to lift/pull large cable and lasher up to 75 lbs.
Eager to grow into a Lineman role and advance in areas like fiber or coax splicing
MOS Codes 12K, 12N,12V, 12W, 21E, 21J, 25P, 91C, 91L, 11B, 1100, 1120, 1316, 9970-9975, 0612, 2T3XX, 2E1XX, 3E2XX, 3E3XX, 9T0XX, BU, UT relate well to this position.
