Field Foreman - Wireline

As a Field Foreman, you will develop new skills fouces on the Wireline side of Telecom, work in a safety-minded environment, and join us in expanding technology for a better community. Responsibilities

As a Field Foreman, you will lead daily site construction activities to ensure crews meet production goals while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce safety standards (MasTec HSE, OSHA, TIA10-48, NATE CTS, ANSI) and ensure compliance on all sites.

• Lead crews, provide guidance and training, and oversee daily site operations.

• Manage paperwork, timesheets, and job instructions; complete and upload closeout documentation.

• Coordinate with customer representatives to support site-related activities and maintain strong relationships.

• Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in proper working order.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Project Scope:

• Wireline/telecom construction prior to installation.

• Work with mainline/backbone fiber (48–288+ counts), including larger and heavier cables.

Qualifications

About You:

• Safety-focused with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work.

• Hands-on problem solver who enjoys working as part of a team on long-term projects.

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.

• At least 5 years of industry experience with strong construction, rigging, and safety knowledge.

• Skilled in operating heavy equipment (Bucket Trucks, Mini Excavators, Drop Plows; Directional Drill a plus).

• Able to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, RFDS, construction drawings, and SOWs.

• Physically able to lift 50 lbs., work up to 12-hour shifts, and distinguish colors.

• Valid driver’s license with clean record (past 3 years); CDL A required (CDL B considered).

• OSHA 10 required (OSHA 20/30 preferred); excavator training a plus.

• Fiber and/or coax splicing experience preferred.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
